Jan Zora’s works reflect her energy, raw experience and unique view of the world.
Born in Calgary in the mid-1950s and raised on the prairies, she moved with her family to beautiful British Columbia as a child.
Most of her pieces are warm and colourful. Many pieces are bold, strong and curious. She is not confined to a particular style. Rather, her work flows from realistic to surrealistic to abstract.
Jan continues to experiment with colour, shape and texture.
“Painting is a way to feed my soul, a tool I use to gain the freedom to express thoughts and emotions within,” Jan says.
“If the concrete result stirs thoughts and emotions in others, then that giving-back is a bonus to doing what I love.”
